THERAPEUTIC
Therapeutic Yoga classes are particularly effective practices for those recovering from, or living with injury or illness. These classes blend restorative practices (postures supported entirely by yoga props), gentle yoga, breath work, and guided meditation techniques combined in such a way to reduce stress and help restore you back towards better balance. Restorative/Yin
Take a load off, clear your mind and restore your body. This practice introduces you to deep relaxation, the usage of props (including the yoga wall), and the more subtle aspects of breathing and meditation. This class is recommended for beginners.
Backcare
Good posture is the foundation of a pain free back. Our backcare classes are designed for all types of back issues, pain and postural problems including scoliosis. Come lengthen your spine and move out of the habitual behaviors that are making your back hurt! All levels welcome including those new to yoga.
Meditation
A great place to begin or evolve your yoga practice. Learn how meditation can be integrated into your yoga practice through the study of ancient teachings and modern day practices.
BEGINNER
Learn the essential yoga postures in a safe environment at a comfortable speed. These teachings aim to help establish the foundations for an effective and enjoyable Yoga practice. Students can expect to practice both passive and active Hatha Yoga exercises that establish physical and mental clarity and calmness
LEVEL 1
Designed as both an introductory class for new students and an excellent way for experienced students to brush up on the basics. Level one classes covers the essentials that form the foundation of a safe, effective, and enjoyable yoga practice, while exploring more deeply a specific aspect of the practice each week.
RISE AND SHINE
Wake up before the sun and practice yoga as it rises. This one hour class is perfect for the student interested in beginning their day with a head-start. Classes focus on refinement of the essential yoga postures and their integration with breath and meditation. This class is recommended for beginners.
ENERGIZER
Don’t have much time? Try this 45 minute class as it is a perfect introduction to the efficiency of yoga. Take a break in the middle of your day and benefit from the essential yoga poses and their impact to minimize your stress. This class is recommended for beginners.
YOGA FOR HEALTHY BONES AND MUSCLES
This class safely develops a long-term yoga practice aimed at building and maintaining muscle and bone strength, improving flexibility and balance, cultivating confidence and wellness, and preventing or mitigating injuries and chronic conditions as we age. Classes are aimed at both beginners and intermediate practitioners.
YOGA WALL 1
Discover how gravity can refine and deepen your yoga practice in a safe and supportive way. A great place for yoga wall novices where you will learn the essential poses with the aid of the yoga wall and enhance your body’s breath and endurance. Previous experience in yoga is suggested but not mandatory. This class is not suitable for pregnant women.
INTERMEDIATE
The word intermediate means “occurring between two extremes”. Previous yoga experience is required for these classes as the foundations of these classes are vinyasa in style. After diligent commitment to your yoga practice it is natural your body and mind will require more challenge. If level one classes seem too easy and advanced classes too daunting then these classes are meant for you. Students can expect to be introduced to more physically demanding postures like inversions and challenging leg and arm balances while learning the basics of a pranayama practice (specific breathing techniques).
LEVEL 2
Designed to help you refine your alignment while developing your stamina. This flowing practice will teach you to coordinate your breath and movement in the essential and more advanced postures and introduce you to safe inversions. Previous yoga experience is required.
YOGA WALL LEVEL 2
Discover how gravity can refine and deepen your yoga practice in a safe and supportive way. Build on the essential poses with the aid of the yoga wall and prepare your body’s breath and endurance to include more advanced poses. Previous yogawall experience is required. This class is not suitable for pregnant women.
ADVANCED
You have been a great student of Yoga and persevered your practice towards more suppleness and stableness. Now you are ready to integrate Yoga’s diverse practices and deepen your path. These classes are meant for students with a minimum of one-year previous Yoga experience. Students can expect these classes to incorporate traditional and modern practices of Hatha yoga passed down throughout the lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. Previous experience in inversions and pranayama is recommended
LEVEL 2/3
Experience for yourself this truly unique experience of our flowing sequences. Designed for experienced yoga practitioners looking to challenge and deepen their yoga practice through the essential and advanced postures. Minimum one year of experience recommended.
SPECIALTY CLASSES
Specialty classes are progressive, semi private sessions that aim to help you refine and tailor your practice to your individual needs. These classes build from week to week but at the same time allow for flexible attendance. Why try to mold into someone other than our selves when at the heart of Yoga is a system of discipline that informs our individuality.
WARM
Our warm yoga classes take place in our state of the art infrared studio, gently heated to 28°C. The infrared panels create the comforting sensation of sunlight warming your body, encouraging deeper release and ease. These classes are designed to be both energizing and restorative in movement while calming for the mind.
ANIMAL FLOW
Experience the dynamic world of Animal Flow, a quadrupedal movement training system designed to improve the performance, resilience and function of the human body. With hands and feet grounded, you’ll explore movements in all directions, engaging your body at a variety of joint angles for a full-body workout. This engaging class improves flexibility, mobility, and cardiovascular health and all fitness levels are welcome. Yoga mat is not needed.
DANCE
Dance Flow blends the precision of yoga with the freedom of dance. Moving with rhythm and intention, we explore asana as a foundation for creative unbounded expression. This practice invites you to loosen boundaries, find fluidity, and let movement become an exploration of presence.
